Rhode Island is home to countless farms, so it’s no wonder nearly every town in the state is home to its own farmers market. Head out to a market to find a great selection of local and organic produce, artisan staples, and fun, hand-made crafts.
This is a more upscale farmers market, but you’re paying the high prices for the high quality food. There’s lots of parking, so you won’t need to worry too much about the crowds. Make sure to ask the vendors questions about what they’re selling—you’ll be awed by their expertise!
Each Wednesday and Saturday, vendors take to the streets of Block Island to sell cheese spreads, seafood, local veggies, and so much more! Not looking for food? There are plenty of arts and crafts vendors there, too!
This farmers market operates all year-round, with an outdoor market in the summer and fall just until November when it moves from the University of Rhode Island campus to the Peace Dale Mill Complex. This farmers market is the longest running in Rhode Island. The market is full of delicious artisan breads, fresh eggs, and lots of delicious seafood!
Wander through this farmers market, hosted each Saturday morning, and you’ll walk by locals hanging out on blankets, snacking on recent purchases and listening to the live music at this weekly event. Sometimes in the summer, there are even cooking demonstrations!
This farmers market takes place right on the grounds of a state park. Vendors include several local farms, including the Mello Family Farm. Because this farmers market is located near the East Bay Bike Path, you can ride your bike down to the market and fill your basket with plenty of delicious snacks for the journey home!
Right near Hope High School you’ll find this large, weekly market hosted on Saturday mornings throughout the summer and fall. Make sure to try some scallops from Bomster scallops, which are harvested along the coast of the Atlantic.
